One of the most popular tools for diversifying risks is exchange-traded funds or ETFs. These allow investors to purchase a basket of stocks that track a particular economic sector or class of assets, providing instant diversification and reducing the need for individual stock picking.
However, the rise of ETFs has also led to an increasing concentration of power among a handful of large providers. Giants like BlackRock and Vanguard now hold significant shares in many of the world's largest companies, raising questions about the potential for undue influence and market distortion.

It's an epic tightrope walk, as the Fed must constantly adjust to keep in balance these two somewhat contradictory goals.
